Review: NEW Gluten Free Risotto Chips
Risotto Chips are brand new gluten free whole grain chips in 3 flavors from a company called New York Style. These great tasting chips are crunchy, flavorful, and made with all natural ingredients. The primary ingredient is rice flour made from Arborio and whole grain brown rice flour; with 0 grams of trans fat and 11 grams of whole grains, Risotto Chips offer big time flavor in a healthy way.
My family sampled all three flavors of Risotto Chips and we really like them! Here is what we thought of them...
Spicy Marinara Risotto Chips:
My whole family liked this flavor the best. This is a spicy chip that reminds us of a (healthier) version of seasoned Doritos. The spice blend is wonderful!
Parmesan and Roasted Garlic Risotto Chips:
Although my youngest daughter couldn't sample this flavor because it is not dairy free, the rest of my family tried and liked these. The flavors in this chip are subtle in comparison to the Spicy Marinara flavor, which is a nice change when you are not in the mood for something spicy (which is rare for me!).
Sea Salt Risotto Chips:
We felt that this flavor most resembles a traditional tortilla chip in flavor. It is a great neutral choice for serving along side guacamole, salsa, or the dip of your choice. Or, you may just want to enjoy them plain!
Overall, we feel that Risotto Chips have a delicious pronounced whole grain flavor, and find the texture to be the perfect combination of light and crunchy. We love that we can feel good about eating them. Risotto Chips get two thumbs up from my family!
