Review: Gluten Free Granola from Bakery On Main

Right now I am eating a bowl of the best gluten free granola I have ever had in my entire life - and it's gluten free!  I hate to say it, but I think it is even better than my own homemade gluten free granola (and mine is pretty darn good!).

Bakery On Main has developed a line of gluten free granola, fiber power gluten free granola, and soft and chewy gluten free granola bars with the following benefits:

 - Bakery On Main's manufacturing plant is certified gluten free by the Gluten Free Certification Organization.  Please refer to their web site at www.gfco.org for their procedure and standards.

- NO GMOs, NO Dairy, NO Wheat, NO Trans Fat, No Cholesterol

- Made with certified Gluten Free Oats, Amaranth & Quinoa for a great source of whole grains

- Made with Flax & Chia seeds for a great source of Omega 3 & Omega 6 EFAs

I sampled the following products and would like to share my feedback with you:

Gluten Free Granola in Nutty Cranberry Maple and Extreme Fruit & Nut flavors:  Both were light and crunchy, not heavy like granola typically tends to be.  I was surprised at how fresh tasting this granola is.  I also loved how the flavor of the fruit really shines through.

Gluten Free Fiber Power Granola in Triple Berry and Cinnamon Raisin flavors:  These have the same light crispy texture and fresh taste as the regular gluten free granola, but they contain a whooping 9 grams of fiber per serving.  When I was eating the Fiber Power granolas I felt like I was doing something good for my health and enjoying a treat at the same time... I love that!

Soft & Chewy Gluten Free Granola Bars in Chocolate Almond, Peanut Butter & Jelly and Apple Cinnamon:  These are not your Mama's hard & dry granola bars; they are fall apart soft and taste homemade.  The Chocolate Almond reminded me of the taste of chocolate chip cookie dough... it was my favorite hands down.  The Peanut Butter and Jelly was a big hit with my son, while my daughter gobbled up the Apple Cinnamon.  Luckily, I managed to get a taste of each before they finished them off. Both were equally tasty.

Review: Glenny's Snacks

Glenny's offers a wide range of gluten free snacks that are low calorie, high fiber and low fat!  I recently sampled a selection of Glenny's gluten free snacks and would like to share my feedback with you.
Glenny's Organic Brown Rice Marshmallow Treats are not overly sweet and are very tasty.  They come in 3 flavors; Vanilla, Chocolate and Raspberry Jubilee.  These have become a lunch box favorite for my kids.  My family loves them all!

Glenny's Fruit & Nut Bars are crunchy treats that are packed full of wholesome ingredients.  My daughter likes to take them as a mid-morning snack at school and my husband keeps some in his desk at work.  They are available in 3 varieties (Cranberry & Almond is my personal favorite).

Did you know that Glenny's Soy Crisps are the #1 selling soy crisp in drugstore chains across America?   After tasting their delicious Salt & Pepper flavored Soy Crisps I know why!  I found Glenny's Soy Crisps satisfied my craving for something salty, yet they are a healthier choice than potato chips.  I tried the Cheddar variety as well, which was also quite tasty.  Please be aware that all varieties of Glenny's Soy Crisps are gluten free, with the exception of the Multigrain flavor, which do contain gluten.

I really enjoyed Glenny's super-soft Gluten Free Oatmeal Cookies ... they are terrific with a cup of tea!  Unfortunately these could not be sampled by my dairy free kids because the packaging says they may contain traces of dairy.  They are available in Oatmeal Raisin and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip varieties - both yummy!
Important: Not all of Glenny's Snacks are gluten free.  Please click here to view a list of their gluten free products.
